CarbonAPI has added support for another 114 countries, via the GLORIA dataset, as well as making CPI adjustments generally available.
What does this mean for you?
The addition of 114 countries moves us closer to our goal of having full global coverage for our emission factor sets, and, excitingly, opens up calculations in countries where spend factors have classically been difficult to find, such as the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kenya, Ghana, and many more - countries that play a critical role in global supply chains and manufacturing.
No longer do you need to shoehorn random emission factor sets onto goods and services purchased from these countries, and hope for the best. You can now use correct factors for the countries you buy your goods and services from, alongside automatic FX and CPI adjustment to ensure as much accuracy as is possible with spend factors.

We'd be interested to hear your thoughts and get your views on where we should head next. We've got plans in the works to licence a global LCA database which will allow you to go even deeper into your analysis. Let's chat!
